Recruitment in Infosys

Yesterday I read a news that Infosys will be recruiting 30 Lakh professionals this year. Such news has become a hype for software companies. First these companies should explain how many professionals, they have sacked/ asked to go/ resigned etc in the previous year. Also at the end of the year how many total staff has increased.

But let us see the reality. The Graduate Engineers who are joining Infosys are put 18months training at their Training center in Mysore. Meanwhile depending on the Market, the Trainees are absorbed or declared unfit and sent back. They say it is their right to remove if the trainees are not performing during the training period. When a Graduate is assessed for 4 years during their Degree, what different methods are they using to assess in their 18 months. Why are they Playing with the career of new Engineers.

On the Contrary, take the case of Engineering firms, when one is selected, the firm rarely sacks them., because the firms are cautious in recruitment, but after recruitment, they feel it is their responsibility to groom them up.
